Children enjoy a unique playground experience at New Leaf Park daily.  Separate spaces for each group. Underground timed misting sprinklers. Rock climbing, ship rope balance walk and a ladder climbers. 
Picnic pavilion under shade sails double as a band stand, alongside an outdoor classroom and harvesting garden.
Animal Explorations

 

FrogLady’s MOST requested program! Learn the differences and similarities between reptiles and amphibians and meet over 20 live animals that participants will get to touch and meet up close. Hate snakes? You won’t after FrogLady teaches you how wonderful and beneficial these gentle creatures truly are. You’ll find out!

 

 

LegoLand 

Spark your imagination and indulge your curiosity at Legoland in Schaumburg. From rides, 4D cinema, build and test racers to Jungle Expeditions. This field trip is always a favorite among the children. There is so much to see and do, the children are always engaged in observing and learning new knowledge through play. 

 

Historic Wagner Farm
Learn to milk cows, tend crops and cook at this 18-acre working farm. The Heritage Center features interactive stations, milking parlor, greenhouse, authentic 1930's store and museum store.

 

Kohl Children's Museum
Offering creative methods of enhancing traditional approaches to teaching, Kohl Teaching Centers provided training and educational resources to teachers and helped them incorporate hands-on experiences into their classrooms. 

 

 

Skokie Water Playground

 

Children in JK-4th will have a great time at the Skokie Water Playground. This venue offers shallow water gross motor play, water slides, spray and play pool and so much more. Your children will have a blast playing in the water during the warm summer months. 

Funtopia
 
Funtopia family entertainment centers in the Glen and all around the world bear one thing in common - they are the place to go if you are an adventurer. Funtopia is where fun, sports and entertainment combine in a unique way. Come climb, jump, duck, slide, grab and hold on!

 

Sky High Sports
Sky High Sports in Niles is an active entertainment center with various trampoline floors and walls. Kids and the young-at-heart enjoy!

 

 

Exploratorium

 

Named Chicagoland's "Best Rainy Day Activity Site" by Chicago Magazine, the Exploratorium is much more than an indoor playground. Children explore together through interactive play. Make believe in costume play, climb a wall, play with trains, tunnel through a two-and-a-half story structure of tubes. 

 

Shoreline Sightseeing
Whether you’ve seen it before or not, taking in the striking views of Chicago's skyline from the lake makes for a perfect day. Camp SCC transports the children to Downtown Chicago and boards one of the coolest ways to view the Chicago Skyline. Shoreline Sightseeing is always a hit with the children who love to explore their city.  

 

 

Friendly Farms Petting Zoo

 

This one of kind amazing opportunity is brought directly to us. Using our grounds, the petting zoo sets up and allows all Summer Campers to explore different farm animals. Children learn so much about these friendly farm animals all while at the comfort of being at SCC.
